The remade Disney classics were a big hit with audiences. Critics and mothers everywhere especially praised the revamped heroines as being exemplary role models for daughters everywhere. Each time a new movie was released the main heroine from that movie became the go-to costume for women nationwide.
There was even a study done and evidence was found that women who grew up watching these versions were found to be much happier than women who grew up watching the originals. Their men seemed to be happier too, as divorce rates plummeted and the nuclear family became more of a common sight in the nation.
All because Disney decided to remake their films to support traditional values.
